MMID was set up in 2000 by two lecturers in Waterford Institute of Technology and has since completed many web, multimedia, video, heritage and e-learning projects for major multinational corporations, leading visitor attractions & government agencies alike. Leveraging on the company's expertise and talented multidisciplinary team, MMID extended its services to visitor centres and museums in 2006. The company's background in education, communication and exhibition design & fit out coupled with the strong project management expertise of the team is proving to be a winning formula and as a result the company is rapidly becoming a reference in Ireland's heritage sector.
From October 1st 2015, Marc Roosli, previously MMID Creative Director stepped up to take over the MMID portfolio and services creating a new company 'Mirador' to focus solely on the Heritage & Tourism sector with his original team. Mirador has experience in developing engaging cutting-edge visitor experiences that range from stand-alone installations to full turn-key projects - from strategic planning to project delivery. MMID/Mirador creates, informative and exciting experiences that enthrall in excess of 750,000 visitors of all ages and backgrounds each year.
MARC ROOSLI - Managing Director

A native of Switzerland, Sales & Marketing graduate Marc has been working in the media industry for almost 22 years - 16 of which have been spent in Ireland working on prestigious web, video and interactive projects for customers such as The K Club, The Ryder Cup, Red Bull, HB Ice Cream, MTV, DELL computers and many more. Marc has been with MMID/Mirador for 8 years now heading the the company with a strong focus on visitor attractions since then. His sales & marketing background gives him a strong edge in the creative process always keeping target audiences expectations and the requirements of his customers at the centre of his projects.
MOOK VIGNES - Interpretive Designer
BA (Hons Degree) in Graphic Design
A media production graduate of Waterford Institute of Technology Mook has freelanced for various companies throughout Ireland. After making a name for himself in the independent film-making and music video circuit Mook joined the MMID/Mirador team in 2012. His documentaries and short films works have collectively been awarded 7 titles in European & international film festivals. Mook is also responsible for graphic design, video & audio production at MMID/Mirador.

Frank McNamee - Co Founder of MMIDBComm, HDip in Educ, MBA, and MA in Multimedia
Frank is the founder of MMID as also director of our sister company CPD College. Coming from a background in education his input into our projects always ensures that the message - regardless of the medium - is always as clear as possible. Frank has managed projects for DELL, Aer Lingus, Bank of Ireland, Waterford Crystal and many more since the founding of MMID/Mirador in 2000.
JOHN WALL - Co Founder of MMID, H&S and Educational Consultant. Currently Head of School of Lifelong Learning and Education at WITE, Dip in Project Management from Trinity and MBA
Responsible for Health & Safety issues and academic liaison. Previous relevant experience includes management of European Minerva Health & Safety project and the design of engineering projects with responsibility for Health & Safety.
RONAN O'FLAHERTY - Cultural Heritage Consultant & Historian
Ronan O'Flaherty holds a PhD in Archaeology and his research interests lie in Irish history and folklore. Ronan is a former CEO of The Discovery Programme (the state archaeological research institute) and offers over 30 years' experience in both the public and private sectors. He held senior positions in a number of Government Departments, managing marketing and development portfolios, as well as running major national investment schemes such as the EUR 2bn Agri-Environmental Programme, the national Forestry Development Programme and various rural capital investment schemes.
Ronan has designed and managed the development of a number of iconic visitor attractions, as well as undertaking detailed feasibility studies for other investment areas. In particular he has managed the 1798 project and also directly managed the EUR 1.5m redevelopment of the Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford. This included strategic planning and evaluation, feasibility studies, conceptual design, interpretative design, project management, and facilitation & negociation. In parallel to his work at MMID/Mirador and Crane Bag Ronan resumed a senior position in the public sector on a temporary basis in 2014 to help design and negotiate Ireland's EUR 4bn Rural Development Programme and to oversee the roll-out of key rural investment schemes.
ANN-MARIE CARTHY - Consulting Interior Designer & Architect
Anne-Marie first came to the attention of MMID/Mirador during her studies as a Masters student in Design in Interior Architecture whilst researching her thesis 'exploring social sustainability into a historical and cultural setting'. Her interest in art, culture & education coupled with her qualifications and experience in architecture & building regulations - in particular in preparing Detail Design, Planning Packages, Tender Packages, and Presentation Packages make Ann-Marie an invaluable asset to the MMID/Mirador team.
NIALL COTTER - Set Builder
Involved in artisan funiture design as well as bespoke joinery and cabinet making for over 20 years. As a master craftsman Niall's attention to detail has played a key role in the delivery of quality decors, staging and structures over the years.
ED HUMM - Light and Sound Engineer
Coming from a theater production background Ed is responsible for AV hardware at MMID/Mirador. Previous to working with MMID/Mirador Ed toured in England with the award-winning Postman Pat show before touring Europe as a sound engineer with a rock and folk act. On returning to Ireland Ed freelanced with production company Nemeton (TG4, RTE1) before joining the popular 'Teens in the Wild' TV series as a location sound engineer. As well as sound and lighting Ed is also responsible for set-building at MMID/Mirador on our Visitor Centres and Museum fit-out projects.
DAVE MADDEN - Technical Writer
Dave has been working with MMID/Mirador on a consultancy basis since 2000. Before working on heritage projects Dave occupied senior management positions with eLearning companies Skillsoft, Mindware, NETg and Prime Learning. His 25 years+ experience in technical writing has proven to be an invaluable asset to the company in ensuring that our message is always clear and concise for the visitor.

In addition to our core staff we also have a panel of voice-over artists and actors that we use on multimedia projects as well as a panel of tradespeople that we use on-site. In both these areas we choose the people with the most relevant skills and knowledge for a particular project.
